Drop Embellishments:

It’s perhaps the most well-known use for Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops among papercraft enthusiasts… but that doesn’t make it any less stunning! Here, Shabneez demonstrates how to add bold and beautiful dimension to card-fronts by creating dimensional pearl drops. Not only do they stand out (literally!) due to their dimension, but the colours pop beautifully against white backgrounds, black backgrounds and atop coloured designs too. The benefit over sticky gems, pearls or other embellishments is that you can literally design these 3D decorations as you go – whether you need them big, small or graduating, circular, oval or even teardrop-shaped… the power is in your hands!

Top Tip: Make sure you test the product on scrap paper every time you use the drops, to avoid any risk of air bubbles or a splatter affecting your project! If you’re not confident using the drops directly onto your card or page, then you can always make the domed drops in advance on your glass mat. Once dry, you can simply prise them off, and just stick them with glue to your project!

Here’s An Idea…

Forget googly eyes – now you can create your very own eye embellishments in any size you like, thanks to Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops! Simply begin by squeezing out a white drop, then adding a tiny drop of black to the middle of the white drop – if it’s a super tiny face you’re working on, use a pin to add the black pupil at the end!

Dimension and Shine:
