Tea Bag Wallet Pattern:
Step 1:
Cut out the fabric and iron the interfacing onto the back of the outer fabric. Press a small seam along the top of the 6 pockets.
Step 2:
Sew along the top of the pockets.
Step 3:
Press a small seam down the right side of the left side pockets and the left side of the right side pockets. Measure 3cm from the top of the inner fabric. Pin first pocket in place, matching the edge of the pocket to the edge of the inner fabric.
Step 4:
Sew along the bottom of the first pocket. 2cm down from the first pocket, sew the bottom of the second pocket. Matching up the bottom of the third pocket with the bottom and side of the inner fabric, pin in place. Sew all the way up the sides of the 3 pockets on the inside edge. Repeat on the other side pockets.
Step 5:
With right sides pinned together, sew around the outside of the case leaving a gap at the top to pull the fabric through to the right way.
Step 6:
Snip off the corners and turn the case the right way. Push out the corners. Press the case turning the edges of the gap inwards, ready for sewing up. Hand stitch the gap closed.
Step 7:
Sew on ribbon by sewing a straight line down the spine of the case, straight over the ribbon.
Press the case closed on both sides.
Fill with your favourite tea bags, and voila! You’re ready to enjoy a nice refreshing cup of tea, whenever the mood strikes… could someone pop the kettle on?
