Origami Home Decor – Create Your Own Geometric Wall Art Instructions:

Step 1:

Cut your paper/card into a square (any size of your choice). You can get the most out of your card by going smaller, but this only really works for the thinner, smooth finished paper. For the thicker card, you’ll need to use quite large squares (I would recommend 7 inches by 7 inches as a minimum).

Step 2:

Now fold the square in half and half again, so you have four quarters.

Step 3:

Now fold the long edges of only two sides into the centre fold.

Step 4:

Next fold all four corners into the centre to form triangle folds.

Step 5:

Fold under the corner triangles of the opposite sides to give the sides a bit of stability.

Step 6:

Push the centres together as in the picture – it will look a bit like a boat!

Step 7:

Now put double sided tape on the outside of the folds to keep them together.

Step 8:

Turn over the shape and push the centre line down gently so that the shape now is two triangles.

Step 9:

Cut the undersides of the triangles so that when you glue it down it lies flat.

Step 10:

Now make more in your chosen colours, and glue down onto some strong card in your own design. I chose to make a star, but there is no limit to what you can do with this!
