On Your Special Day: A Card For The Occasion

Our lives are wonderfully punctuated by special events! Whether they are our own, or those of our friends and family, a handmade card can be a lovely way to mark those celebrations, and show how much we care. This bold and beautiful card from Carley Duff is so versatile, you could use it for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations, and so many other events… it’s a must-have for your project file!
You Will Need:
- Gold cardstock
- Pink cardstock
- White cardstock
- Frame die
- Floral die
- Sentiment die
- Pinflair glue
- Flower embellishment
- 6″ x 6″ Cardblank
Step 1:
Begin by cutting your gold cardstock, pink card, and white card to size, so that you can layer these atop a 6″ x 6″ card base, as shown.
Step 2:
Next, take your chosen dies and use them to cut out all the decorative elements for your cardfront, including the sentiment, each flower, and the decorative frame. Use additional pink and gold card to create these die-cuts, for a seamlessly co-ordinated effect.
Step 3:
Use pinflair glue to add the die-cut frame to your layered cardfront, and decorate this with your die-cut flower shapes.
Step 4:
Once all your die cuts have been secured, gently lift the petals of the flowers away from the card front to create a three-dimensional finish.
Step 5:
For the final finishing touch, add your floral embellishment to the corner of the card.
And there you have it, a glamorous handmade card fit for a whole host of occasions and celebrations!
