Dazzling Cutlery Holders:
If you're looking for an easy yet impressive way to add instant glam to your dining table this New Year, then we've got it! These awesome star-shaped cutlery holders are super easy to create, even if you've never crafted before.
Simply grab yourself some sturdy gold metallic card (or get creative with glittered card, printed card, or whatever else suits your party theme!) and draw out a large star shape on the back - make sure it's smaller than the plate you intend to sit it on!
Once you've carefully cut this out, just score two straight lines across the centre, a few centimetres apart and parallel to one another, to slide the cutlery through as shown.
See in the New Year in style with this stunning hanging New Year's Eve craft centrepiece!
You can either buy your numbers pre-cut and ready to decorate, or simply cut them out yourself from sturdy cardboard (there must be plenty of boxes lying around after all that online Christmas shopping!)
Then get decorating! Add your sparkling embellishments quickly and easily by covering your numbers with double-sided tape first, then hang using transparent wire or a sturdy metallic thread to create a party talking point!
Who's Drink Is This?
If you have any gold card leftover from creating your cutlery holders, then here's a little project that'll go down a treat with party guests on the big night!
These sparkling stars are the perfect way to identify whose drink is whose! Simply cut out a selection of smaller stars, and add a hole in the centre, with a single slit to allow the stem of the glass to slip through.
Add your guests' names to the stars, and no-one will accidentally end up sipping someone else's champagne, no matter where they put their glass down!
Continuing with the star theme, it's only right to get some stars up in the sky where they belong, right? This sparkling star banner is easy to create and will add instant drama to any ceiling, doorway or window.
Simply cut out multiple stars using your shimmering gold cardstock (make sure they're all the same shape and size - if you have a die-cutting machine, now's the time to get it fired up!) Then space them out evenly along a length of gold thread, securing them in place at the back using sticky tape. Once secured, glue additional gold stars over the back of these, so the thread is sandwiched between the two stars, and your banner looks gorgeous no matter which angle you view it from!
These DIY New Year's Eve Craft Decorations are so easy to make, and will help transform your home into the perfect place to see in the New Year in style!
