Heffy Doodle Inspiration

Last year, we launched Heffy Doodle on Create & Craft – and it’s been a big hit with papercrafters!
Since you all adore crafting with the lovely Lesley Oman’s quirky doodles, and smile-inducing sentiments, we thought it was about time we shared another inspiration-filled post, showing you exactly what you can achieve with these stunning stamps and dies… and how!
Hello Sweet Cheeks Heffy Doodle Card:
This card was made by Heffy Doodle Design Team member Olga Moss. It looks incredibly beautiful, but we promise it is very simple to create!
You Will Need:
- Card blank & envelope
- Spritz bottle
- Yellow ink
- Hello Squeakheart Stamp and Die Set
- Adhesive
- Sequin embellishments
- Coloured inks
- Outline ink
- Die cutting machine
Step 1:
For the background, slightly tone the upper right corner and the lower left of your card front with a light yellow ink. To add a little texture, spray the background first with water, and then with some watercolour splatters. This creates the illusion of movement – and an active, cheerful background goes well with these cute mice!
Step 2:
Stamp and colour the super fun stamps from the Hello Squeakheart Stamp Set, and cut them all with Hello Squeakheart Dies before gluing them on the background.
Step 3:
To finish, stamp the sentiment ‘Hello sweet cheeks,’ and embellish the card with a few pretty sequins.
Hoppy Bunny Easter Card:
This card was made by Heffy Doodle Design Team member Crystal Thompson, and features the cute Honey Bunny Boo stamps and dies.
You Will Need:
- Card blank & envelope
- Plain white card
- Spritz bottle
- Ink pads
- Heffy Doodle Honey Bunny Boo stamps and dies
- Adhesive
- Sequin embellishments
- Coloured inks
- Foam pads
- Die cutting machine
- Paper trimmer
Step 1:
Trim a plain piece of white card so that it is slightly smaller than the front of your card blank. Begin by stamping the word ‘bunny’ onto the card, and then added the sentiment ‘hoppy’ just above this, with a slightly different shade of ink.
Step 2:
Next, stamp a few tufts of grass to create a ground for the bunny to stand on, and add the trio of Easter eggs just off to the right.
Step 3:
On a separate piece of card, stamp one of the cute bunnies, and then colour in the bunny and eggs using some alcohol markers.
Step 4:
Using the coordinating dies, cut out the bunny, and add it to the design using a foam pad. Finish off the piece with a few sequins!
Step 5:
Once the full design is complete and dry, layer this piece of card onto the centre of your card front using foam pads for added dimension.
