How to Make a Floral Embroidery Hoop Keepsake [The Hobby House]

You don’t always have to just make cards with your cardmaking collections. The gorgeous Camila Collection from The Hobby House is perfect for you to make something ‘off the page’ to give as a keepsake — or make for yourself as a piece of home decor! — Debbie Simpson

Time to Make: 30 Minutes.

Skill Level: Beginner-Intermediate.

You Will Need:

Step 1:

Draw around the outside of the embroidery hoop onto the Camila Texture Patterned Cardstock and then cut out.

Step 2:

Cut a slightly smaller circle from the Camila Floral Patterned Cardstock and ink the edges with a light brown ink. Adhere to the centre of the other circle using Pinflair Glue-It adhesive.

Step 3:

Trim a 1” strip from the Camila Dotty Patterned Paper. Ink the edges with light brown ink and adhere across the centre of the two centres. Trim the edges to fit the circle.

Step 4:

Using Pinflair Glue-It, adhere the embroidery hoop to the right side of the layered circles.

Step 5:

Mat and layer the die-cut floral topper from The Hobby House Camila Collection onto a die-cut scalloped circle cut from white card.

Step 6:

Adhere the topper to the centre of the embroidery hoop using Pinflair Glue Gel.

Step 7:

Punch a ‘Just For You’ sentiment topper from the Camila Collection and mat and layer onto a scalloped circle. Adhere to the bottom right of the floral topper.

Step 8:

Adhere two Hobby House Pale Peach Ava Flowers to the top left of the floral topper and add a couple of the Lia Pearls to the centre.

Step 9:

Tie a little Hobby House Vintage Ribbon and natural twine to the top and finish with a little glitter to the centre of the flowers on the floral topper.
