How to Make an Easy Easter Bonnet
Check out Penelope Quinn's tutorial video above, then scroll down for detailed step-by-step instructions on exactly how you can create this gorgeous project yourself.
Grab your craft supplies and clear your craft table - it's time to get crafting for the Easter bonnet parade!
First take your green felt, and cut ‘grass’ as shown. You’ll need between four and eight strips.
Wrap these around the hat, securing with hot glue. Start mid-way up the hat, so the grass appears to be at different lengths.
Take your flowers, and thread them on one at a time to your pipe cleaner. Twist the top so the flowers are secure.
Next, twist your pipe cleaner around the end of a paintbrush to create a spiral. Pull it out slightly so it springs.
Thread these through the holes in your straw hat, and secure by twisting the bottom. Use a bit of hot glue if you need to!
Secure a ribbon around the base of the hat, and glue on mini chicks and pom-poms. You can also add these to the top of your hat.
Now there's nothing left to do, but try it on for size!
