DIY Robin Easy Christmas Cupcake Decorations:
Step 1:
Roll out the brown sugarpaste to around 3-4mm thickness on your pastry board. Using the FMM Mix ‘n’ Match Face Cutter cut out a large circle
Step 2:
Roll out the red sugarpaste (same thickness) and cut out a small oval using the FMM Cutter, and stick to the brown sugarpaste circle using the paintbrush dipped lightly in water. This is the robin’s red breast.
Step 3:
Using the remainder of the brown sugarpaste, cut out three triangles. Stick two of them either side of the robin’s ‘body’. Put the third triangle aside.
Step 4:
Roll out a small amount of yellow sugarpaste and cut out a triangle. Stick this to the centre of the brown sugarpaste.
Step 5:
Roll out a small amount of white sugarpaste and cut out two ovals using the medium sized oval shape and stick vertically above the yellow “beak”.
Step 6:
Roll out a small amount of black sugarpaste and use the smallest circle of the FMM cutter to cut out two small circles. Stick them onto the white ovals. To finish, add two white nonpareils to the ‘pupils’.
Step 7:
Spread buttercream onto the cupcake, then lift your cupcake topper with the angled spatula and place on top of the cupcake. Mark the third triangle (from step 3) using the modelling tool and stick on top of the robin’s head.
And there you have it, your festive robin is ready rock! But why stop there? The Mix n Match Face Cutter enables you to create so many different designs.
These easy Christmas cupcake decorations are so versatile… the only limit is your imagination! What would you create?
