One-Of-A-Kind DIY Watch Strap: Macrame Tutorial

You Will Need:

How To Make A DIY Macrame Watch Strap:

Step 1:

Roughly measure around your wrist with cord and multiply the measurement by 4, to determine how much cord you’ll need to work with.

Step 2:

Cut 8 lengths of this measurement.

Step 3:

Split the lengths into 2 and tie the cords onto the watch attachments using larks head knots.

Step 4:

Using double half hitch knots, create a v shape, and repeat again to create the double v. Continue the double half hitch knots to each side to create an x shape and then secure the ends in a square knot formation 1/2/1.

Step 5:

Secure the square knots with double half hitch knots.

Step 6:

Tie the ends in a tight knot, and carefully trim the ends that are inside the watch strap, leaving just 4 cords on each side.

Step 7:

Tie the remaining ends together using a scaffold knot from one of the cut pieces.

Step 8:

Finished project

Try the watch on your own wrist for size, and trim the ends to desired length, to complete the project.
