Debbie Shore’s Easter Door Hanger Project:
Cut out your felt pieces. Sew the forehead to the top of the face.
Sew the cheeks beneath the forehead then the nose in the centre. Glue the eyes either side of the forehead, and make three little French knots on each cheek.
Sew the inner ears to the centre of two outer ears.
Sew the ear pieces together in pairs leaving the bottoms open. Fold the wires in half and push inside the ears. Sew to the top of one of the body pieces.
Place the second body piece over the top, sandwiching the ears in between the two pieces. Place the face over the head and sew all the way round, leaving a gap in the bottom of about 2” for stuffing. Stuff lightly with toy filler, then sew over the opening.
Sew paws to the centre of two of the feet.
Sew the remaining sides of the feet together, with the pads on top, leaving a small gap in one side for stuffing. Pop a little toy filler inside, sew the opening closed.
Glue the feet to the body. Cut a 10” length of ribbon and tie into a bow, glue to one side of the neckline, then add the flowers.
Fold the remaining ribbon in half, hand-sew to the back of the head through the button to hang. Glue on the bob tail and you’re finished!
