Row 1: Ch36 (last chain counts as a turning chain)
R2: Turn your work, 1dc into each stitch to the end (35)
R3: Ch1, turn your work, 1dc into each stitch to the end (35) and fasten off.
Now attach white:
R4: 1dc into each stitch to the end (35)
R5: Ch1, turn your work, 1dc into each stitch to the end (35) and fasten off.
Now repeat this with alternate sections of red and white until you have 8 red sections/stripes and 8 white sections/stripes.
Do not fasten off your last white section. Instead fold the 2 long sides together and double crochet them together.
Sew in the tails leaving one (your longest one) to sew up the bottom edge of the case.
For the popcorn top, using yellow:
R2: *Skip 1 stitch, 5TR in the next st, SS into the next st* – repeat 8 times to the end of the base chain.
Sew this around the opening of the glasses case.
To crochet the “POP” writing do the following for each letter in yellow:
Ch15, fasten off then using the tails, sew into the shapes of the letters onto the glasses case. For the exclamation mark, Ch5 and sew to case then do a French knot underneath.
Now pop your 3D glasses in, and you’re ready for your next movie! To make a wider case, simply increase the amount of stripes and increase the popcorn base chain by multiples of four, depending on how big you need it to be.
