Crochet Earrings for Beginners

These gorgeous crochet earrings are perfect for beginners to have a go at – as long as you can create a few basic stitches, this pattern is ideal for you. Check out the step-by-step instructions below, and try your hand at creating your very own floral fashion accessory, in time for spring.
Time to Make: Approx. 1 hour
Skill Level: Confident beginner who can create the basic stitches
You Will Need:
- 25g HELLO 100% cotton 4ply yarn
- 3mm crochet hook
- 2 split rings
- Earring findings
- Yarn needle
- adjustable slip knot = magic ring
- ch = chain
- ch sp = chain space
- ss = slip stitch
- dc = double crochet
- tr = treble crochet
- 3ch picot = 3 chain picot stitch
Crochet Earrings Pattern for Beginners:
Make an adjustable slip knot and ch3 (counts as 1tr) then make one more chain stitch (counts as chain space) making 4ch in total.
Rnd 1: (1tr, 1ch) eleven times into first chain. Join with a ss to ch3 of the 4ch above
Rnd 2: 5ch (counts as 1tr and 2ch), (1tr in next ch sp, 2ch) eleven times, join with a ss in the 3rd ch of the beginning 5ch.
Rnd 3: *Dc into the next 2ch space, 7tr in next ch sp*
Repeat from *to* three times.
Dc into the next 2ch space, 4tr in next ch sp, 3ch picot (the ss goes into the top of the previous tr and the bar below on the same tr, see below:
3tr in the same ch sp.
*Dc into the next 2ch space, 7tr in next ch sp*.
Repeat from *to* twice.
Join with a ss into first dc and fasten off.
To finish, insert split ring into loop created by making the 3ch picot and attach to earring finding.
