How to Craft Cute Tokens of Love this Valentine’s Day

How to Craft Cute Tokens of Love this Valentine’s Day

We love the awesome power a handcrafted gift has to make someone feel special – which is why we’ve fallen head over heels for these adorable little hand sewn tokens of love by the fabulous Kelly Anne Jordan. Pop one into your partner’s pocket, slip it inside a packed lunch, or you could even post one to a friend, and brighten up that special someone’s day with a little heartfelt surprise!

Time it Takes to Make: 1 – 2hrs

Skill level: Beginner

You Will Need:

Step 1:

Print out the pattern and trace on to your felt with a Frixion Pen, if you have trouble seeing it, you can use a light tablet to help guide you.

Step 2:

Cut out the heart shapes; you’ll need two of each colour, so that you have the front and back of each mini project.

Step 3:

Stitch the words in on the centre of each of the front hearts using a simple back stitch. I added these phrases:

  • You are loved
  • You’ve got this
  • My sunshine
  • The One
  • Do what you love

But you could add anything you like, that you know will bring a smile to their face when they discover it!

Now layer the front and back heart one atop the other, and stitch together with a straight stitch. Before you get to the end, pop in some toy stuffing and complete your stitching around the heart, to finish.

Once complete, sneak one or two little handmade tokens of love into the pocket, sock drawer or lunch box of a loved one, and brighten up their day!
