Everything You Need to Know About E-Dies
Create and Craft are very excited to announce a whole new concept in die-cutting, following the incredible success of our brand new Disney E-Dies! These fantastic E-Dies feature intricately thought out designs delivered layer by layer, enabling you to complete stunning paper piecing projects with ease.
Following a huge number of requests from Create and Craft customers, these brand new Disney E-Dies have been created to work in conjunction with electronic cutting machines, such as the Brother Scan N Cut, enabling you to resize the files and create a multitude of projects big or small!
What Are E-Dies?
Traditionally, dies are made of wafer-thin metal and feature complex designs and patterns. These physical dies are passed through your cutting machine atop the paper you wish to cut. However, thanks to the wonders of technology, you no longer need to store hundreds of tiny metal dies – thanks to E-Dies! These intricately thought-out designs are all delivered on one handy USB.
How Do I Use E-Dies?
On your USB you’ll typically find hundreds of SVG files; these can be cut and paper pieced together to create three-dimensional character designs, with stunning finished results!
The designs can be resized to create projects big or small, so you can craft home decor projects, greeting cards, scrapbook pages and beyond!
On a USB that contains E-DIES™, you’ll receive a greater selection of elements which can be printed out and used straight away to create layered characters and designs. Every layer has been thought out to give the most accurate detail, and each image has numbered layers accompanied by instructions.
Regular crafting USBs include various elements which you can incorporate into your cardmaking and other crafting projects; you’ll find complementing images and designs to co-ordinate and arrange yourself, rather than elements you can use straight away to produce a complex layered design!
Every layer has been thoroughly thought through to give the most accurate detail; the number of layers used to create each image can from as little as 16, all the way up to 89!
