‘Birds Of A Feather’ Card – Linda Simpson [With Video Tutorial]
When I was approached by Create and Craft to take part in the blog hop with Altenew, it was such an honour! Once I saw February 2018’s new releases, I had to choose the “Birds of a Feather” stamp and die set.
First thing to do is cut half of the front of both cards to give you 2 side panels, adhere together with double sided tape to create gate fold card. Then mat and layer the mink and sky card onto the inside and both side panels.
On a white piece of card I then proceeded to build the birds using the stamps. Each bird is stamped using the following Archival ink colours, Jet Black, Garden Patina, Cornflower Blue, Coffee, Red Geranium and Monarch Orange. Once all birds were stamped I then used the corresponding dies to cut the birds out. For the branches I simply die cut using Kraft card.
I then proceeded to adhere the bird and branch to the front panels on both sides. For the inside I stamped the sentiment “Birds of a Feather Flock Together” with Jet Black Archival ink and added the final bird. On the right front panel I also stamped “Hello There”.
Check out exactly how I created this card, step by step, in this easy-to-follow video tutorial:
