Kids Craft: “Give Rudolph a Hand!” Festive Garland [Wendy Turner Webster]
OK, he needs two little hands actually as these are essential for covering in paint and printing out Rudolph’s antlers! Nothing says Christmas quite like a red-nosed reindeer and this is a lovely project for kids to play a major part in.
I created Rudolph’s head with some heavy glitter paper. Then, I used buttons for the eyes and a beer bottle top filled with red glitter for the legendary nose. I used red and white striped string to link the heads together but, of course, you could make these individually as tree decorations. — Wendy Turner Webster
Materials Used: Glitter Paper, Red Glitter, Craft String & Black and White Buttons
I wanted to show off this garland to maximum effect in the picture. This proved rather tricky to begin with as our house has underfloor heating and not one single fireplace. Photographing the floor doesn’t quite do the trick! Thanks to my partner in crime, Julie, for providing me with a fireplace to set dress for the festive season.
After breathing in the scent of the Christmas candles and watching the five Rudolph heads sparkle, we could declare that the countdown to a crafty Christmas had officially begun! — Wendy Turner Webster
